A visionary kitchen project signed by Alberto Minotti and realized in collaboration with MVK+ITALIA was the protagonist of Nerosicilia Group’s booth at SICAM 2025. Designed to explore new aesthetic and constructive possibilities in contemporary furniture, the installation conveyed the soul of Nerosicilia Group through its surfaces, an expression of research, balance and materiality, always serving architectural projects and contemporary design. 

Continuity and harmony between surfaces

The concept is inspired by a flowing ribbon that starts from the wall, forms a peninsula and returns to the starting point, creating a visual effect of continuity and harmony between the surfaces.

The structure is made of Lava Tech in white, with a brand new matte finish composed of slats of varying sizes. The front doors and drawers are covered in Mosaicomicro, Mattoncini collection in graphite color.
This elegant combination enhances the contrast between light and material, perfectly expressing the balance between design, functionality and artisanal quality.

Explanatory panels and tactile surfaces

An exhibition wall also hosted a series of panels in circular and oval shapes where all the finishes and lava stone surfaces—natural, glazed, decorated and solid-colored, in glossy and matte versions—were presented, allowing exploration of different textures and tones, including those of Ragusa pitchstone.

The color palette, carefully studied, ranged from gray to beige, creating a refined and harmonious ensemble.

Highlighting Sicilian volcanic material

Always oriented towards research on natural materials and the enhancement of Made in Italy design, Nerosicilia Group pays attention to every detail to combine durability, beauty and sustainability, emphasizing the Sicilian volcanic material, the heart of the company’s production.
Furthermore, the collaboration with MVK+ITALIA has made it possible to blend craftsmanship and technology, demonstrating how these two aspects can coexist perfectly in a project of high aesthetic and technical value.
