Marmomac, a leading international event for the natural stone supply chain, returns to Veronafiere from September 22 to 25, 2026, bringing together materials, surfaces and design languages from the main quarrying areas of the world. A trade fair where natural stone is at once a production material and a lens through which to read ongoing transformations in architecture, design and urban space.
The event, now in its 60th edition, offers visitors the most complete snapshot of the entire supply chain from the quarry to the finished product, from technologies to machinery and tools.

Marmomac 2026: the future of natural stone between design, architecture and research
Marmomac has always dedicated an area to experimentation and visions on the future of natural stone. The anniversary edition, while looking back at its long journey, renews its cultural identity through a rich program with new curatorial perspectives, urban installations, awards and a lecture by Carlo Ratti, within the cultural space called THE BEDROCK - Leading the Future of Natural Stone in pavilion 10.
Here natural stone proposes new perspectives and different interpretations through four exhibitions by Joseph Grima, Davide Fabio Colaci, Raffaello Galiotto and Giuseppe Fallacara that interpret the possibilities at the intersection of design research, technology and architectural experimentation.

The Marmomac 2026 awards between innovation and sustainability of the stone supply chain
Beyond cultural and design content, Marmomac consolidates its role as a privileged observatory on the natural stone supply chain through several awards that recognize the people and approaches that best narrate the transformations in communication, technology and industrial research.
The eighteenth edition of the Best Communicator Award rewards companies and personalities who have interpreted the world of natural stone through design, architecture, art and contemporary visions. For its sixtieth edition, Marmomac also adds the International Award “Sustainable Excellence”, produced with the patronage and collaboration of the University of Verona, with the aim of promoting the most advanced solutions for sustainable innovation in the stone supply chain, awarding machines, plants, tools, materials and projects capable of generating a concrete impact in terms of production efficiency, reduced consumption and responsible use of resources.
Also this year Marmomac Academy takes place, active since 1998 as an international platform dedicated to training and professional development in the world of natural stone.

The natural stone market: Italy and the international stone supply chain
The global natural stone sector - which includes marbles, granites, quartzites and other stone surfaces - is today structured across a wide and established production geography.
In this scenario, Italy remains one of the global references for the supply chain, with over 300 stone varieties, an expression of a material culture that continues to find space in architecture and interior design, positioning itself in the high-end segment of the market. According to the Confindustria Marmomacchine 2025 Report, the Italian natural stone sector brings together around 3,200 companies and over 34,000 employees, with a total turnover - between materials and processing technologies - of 4.5 billion euros and exports accounting for 70.8% of national production, equal to 3.1 billion euros.
