The sixteenth edition of SICAM, the International Exhibition for Components, Semi-finished Products and Accessories for the Furniture Industry, concluded after four intense days. Four days of meetings, new proposals and insights on the trends that will drive the market in the coming months, in a positive atmosphere of optimism and a strong desire to act.
A wide selection of solutions, innovative materials and technologies at the forefront shaped an offering suitable for every type of furnishing project: residential, contract, kitchens, bathrooms, interior design.

SICAM, an unmissable appointment
According to the very first data, from October 14 to 17 the fair welcomed 23,818 visitors representing over 9,300 companies from 113 countries. Italy stood out obviously (61 percent), followed by a significant number of visitors from Germany, Spain and China, as well as a strong presence from Eastern European countries. They were welcomed by 692 exhibitors from 33 countries who occupied 19,150 net square meters of exhibition space — in other words, the entire space available in the exhibition district — including small, medium and large companies.
The positive figures once again confirm the central role of the event in the subcontracting sector. “For several editions SICAM has been an unmissable appointment for all the protagonists of the supply chain,” comments Carolina Giobbi. “All industry professionals come to SICAM, undoubtedly a source of pride for us organizers, although the real credit goes to the attraction capacity of everyone who decides to exhibit in Pordenone.”

The SICAM universe in a CSIL study
An interesting study commissioned to CSIL by SICAM to understand the “weight” of its exhibitors in the global furniture supply chain shows that they collectively report turnover of over 25 billion euros and employ around 70,000 people. According to estimates by the prestigious research center, the European furniture industry spends between 45 and 60 billion euros on the supplies necessary for the production process: the “SICAM universe” therefore satisfies between 45 and 55 percent of the components demand of the entire European industry.

CSIL’s analysis also reveals some key characteristics of the event that have undoubtedly contributed to its success, starting with the substantial balance among SICAM exhibitors in terms of company size: from large international corporations to companies offering niche products.
Secondly, the broad and articulated merchandise offering with more than 12 macro product categories represented, belonging to different supply chains, from metal to wood, from plastic to composite materials. In first place in the ranking of exhibitors by product type are the fittings manufacturers (30 percent of total exhibitors), followed by wood semi-finished products and flush fitting systems suppliers, both at 13 percent. Panel and veneered/layered panel manufacturers represent 9 percent of total exhibitors.
The SICAM “off-fair” grows
The 2025 edition of SICAM saw exhibitors and visitors strongly focused on their business, with an increasingly rich “off-fair” of events and appointments organized by companies and within “Enjoy Pordenone with SICAM”, an initiative promoted by the City of Pordenone. These events, which grow year after year, where the pleasure of meeting, sharing and experiencing the “after fair” is also seen as an opportunity to strengthen relationships and friendships and to spark ideas, stimuli, new visions and opportunities for the future.

SICAM also a laboratory of ideas
The conferences held at SICAM have become a true laboratory of ideas, focusing on key themes for the future of the furniture industry: they explored how design can help regenerate communities, how sustainability drives innovation, the potential of strategic markets such as North America and the essential link between industry and higher education.
