From the analysis of the data that describe the 2025 edition of SICAM, held from October 14 to 17 in Pordenone, the event confirms itself in excellent health, strongly international, capable of offering a good balance between the number of products on display and the exhibition area.
The exhibitors numbered 692, of which 31 percent came from 33 countries, and they occupied all 41,000 square meters available, of which 19,150 were net exhibition space. Attendance at the fair was 29,359, of which 23,818 were visitors representing 9,336 companies, 39 percent from 112 countries, and 5,541 exhibitors.

International and highly qualified visitors
Analyzing the origin of the visitors, Italy obviously leads with 61 percent of the total while arrivals from abroad see Europe in first place (72 percent), followed by Asia (19 percent), the Americas and Africa (4 percent) and 1 percent of arrivals from faraway Oceania.
The ranking of visitors by country places Germany in first position, followed by Spain, China, Croatia, Slovenia, Poland, Ukraine, Greece, Austria and France; notable is the presence of many operators from the Balkan area, from Turkey and an increase in arrivals from North Africa, countries that are taking on an increasingly important role in the global economic flows of the furniture sector.
Interesting is the data relating to the job profile of the visitors, most of whom are owners or chief executive officers, followed by technical employees, commercial employees and sales directors, and the data concerning the product sectors to which the visiting companies belong: at the forefront is naturally “furniture”, followed by “furniture components”, “kitchens”, “contract” and “bathroom”.

A fair worth visiting
The collected data also offer other interesting indications: the Italian operator spends on average 1.34 days visiting SICAM, while for those coming from abroad the average rises to 1.65 days.
In this edition the most visited days were Wednesday, October 15 and Thursday, October 16, followed by the opening day. Friday was chosen by many owners and entrepreneurs for greater “tranquility” that allowed them to speak with suppliers, customers and colleagues in a more relaxed atmosphere.
As for the average number of visitors per stand, the cross-checking of the data shows the uniformity of the pavilions, confirming that at SICAM there are no privileged exhibition spaces, no more frequented aisles or less interesting areas, but that it is a fair well worth visiting.
A curious figure is the number of water bottles distributed over the four days of the fair, as many as 74,000, while 68,000 were cups of coffee.

A concrete business opportunity
The element that certainly most clearly marked the four days of the event was the atmosphere of optimism and positivity.
“I must admit that never as this year did we have the feeling that everything met the expectations of visitors and exhibitors who experienced the fair in a positive, relaxed way,” commented Carolina Giobbi. “Once again SICAM has shown that it is possible to do trade fairs differently, proactively, looking first and foremost at people's satisfaction, making them feel as comfortable as possible when engaging with customers, partners or suppliers. A “nice atmosphere”, if I may use a term that may not be highly professional but sums up what everyone who attended SICAM 2025 experienced: a business opportunity in a delicate market season, but with the optimism of those who know the future is yet to be built”.
The appointment for the 17th edition of SICAM is from October 20 to 23, 2026.
