We see the functionality and versatility of the retracting door system Hawa Concepta III applied in the work of studio Nolè - Schneeberger Architekten, which carried out the restoration of the nursery on Nelkenstrasse in Schaffhausen, a building of great historical value, designed and built in 1906 by the renowned architect Jakob Stamm. 

The architects of studio Nolé not only respected the historic heritage, but also upgraded the building to meet modern energy efficiency standards. They also made the most of the available space within the nursery's rooms by using the system Hawa Concepta III.

Particular attention was paid to the functionality of the interior spaces, optimized for the needs of the children and staff. To increase storage capacity, the architects integrated the historic furnishings with simple and essential cabinetry elements.

Thanks to the use of the retracting door system Hawa Concepta III, the doors can be fully opened with a rotating movement, then retract sideways. 

This system allows optimal and constant access to toys and teaching materials during activity times, without limiting the children's freedom of movement in front of the cabinets. 

Hidden kitchen with the Hawa Concepta III system

By using these wardrobe systems skillfully integrated with Hawa Concepta III, the kitchen also disappears into the room: when playtime is over, the kitchen opens quickly to prepare the meal. Conversely, when the doors close, everything easily and neatly disappears behind the large front surface of the furniture. 

The renovation of the Schaffhausen nursery represents a successful example of harmony between historical heritage and modern functionality.
