The 64th edition of Salone del Mobile.Milano, from April 21 to 26 at Fiera Milano Rho, is rich in new offerings, content and exhibition routes, confirming itself not only as the most important international trade fair for furniture and design, but also as a platform of cultural and design innovation in constant evolution.
More than 1,900 exhibitors (36.6% from abroad), 227 brands among debuts and returns, and over 169,000 m² of net exhibition space—completely sold out—confirm the international scope of the Milan event.
At the press conference on January 29 at the Teatro della Triennale di Milano, Maria Porro, President of the Salone del Mobile.Milano, stated: “Amid a geopolitical and economic phase marked by deep discontinuities and new polarities, the Salone del Mobile.Milano reaffirms its role as a global strategic platform and responds to markets with vision and continuity, positioning itself as a steady point in an unstable time: a place where industry meets, thought takes shape and the future is designed.”
New content and increasingly integrated exhibition routes
Among the novelties of the next edition are the debut of Salone Raritas, dedicated to collectible design and curated by Annalisa Rosso, Editorial Director and cultural events advisor of the Salone, with exhibition design by Formafantasma; the immersive installation conceived by Maison Numéro 20, “Aurea, an Architectural Fiction”, which weaves heritage and innovation along the A Luxury Way route; and finally the launch of the Salone Contract project, whose Masterplan is entrusted to Rem Koolhaas and David Gianotten (Studio OMA), which this year will take shape in dedicated routes and a talk at the fair, ahead of its official debut in April 2027.

“With Salone Raritas – explained Maria Porro – we explore the value of uniqueness, the iconic and high craftsmanship, while with the path toward the Salone Contract we open new design directions dedicated to expanding sectors – hospitality, retail, marine, real estate – with the aim of supporting Italian companies not only in defining competitive and sustainable standards, but so that they are recognized and chosen as reference partners for the setup of these spaces internationally. We are talking about supply chains that hybridize, that generate work and attract investment, with a concrete impact on manufacturing and territories.”

The Annual Events
As usual, there will be four annual events: Salone Internazionale del Mobile, Salone Internazionale del Complemento d’Arredo, Workplace3.0 and S.Project, for a total of 915 exhibitors (38.57% from abroad), including 139 exhibitors participating for the first time or returning to the event.
With 700 designers from 43 countries and 23 international design schools and universities, SaloneSatellite will once again focus on under-35 talent. Theme of the 27th edition: “Skilled Craftsmanship + Innovation”, an invitation to rediscover craftsmanship as the language of the future, a bridge between manual heritage and technological vision.

Great anticipation for the Biennials dedicated to the kitchen and bathroom
At the center of the 64th edition is the anticipated return of the Biennials: EuroCucina with FTK – Technology For the Kitchen, with 106 exhibitors from 17 countries (38.60% from abroad), including 35 brands participating for the first time or returning, and the Salone Internazionale del Bagno with 163 exhibitors from 14 countries (28.22% from abroad).
The Biennale EuroCucina is announced as the international reference platform for kitchen design, thanks to high-quality exhibition content capable of offering a clear view of the sector's advances, driven by technology, sustainability and innovation, intelligent systems and AI integration.
At FTK – Technology For the Kitchen, leading companies are focusing on ever quieter, integrable and autonomous devices. Energy efficiency, now a mandatory standard, combines with a sophisticated and customizable aesthetic.
The Salone Internazionale del Bagno will take center stage as the largest international showcase in the sector, between design and technology, with a vision increasingly close to a “domestic spa”: fluid environments, theatrical walk-in showers, equipped niches, storage mirrors and layered lighting that sculpts the atmosphere.

Wayfinding: to improve the visitor experience
Another important novelty concerns a new wayfinding system developed by Leftloft and designed to improve the visitor experience through clearer, more coherent and intuitive visual tools. The project provides for three recurring graphic interfaces which, inspired by the logic of metro networks, will make it easy to find information, reducing reading times and perceptual complexity.
Finally, the Salone's focus on an increasingly sustainable fair is confirmed by the renewal of the ISO 20121 certification for the 2026–2028 three-year period and by the move towards an ever more circular and systemic design, where materials, processes and supply chains become part of the project.
