Stefano Boeri will be the curator of the Special Event 2021 of the Salone del Mobile.Milano, assisted by a team of young architects and internationally renowned professionals.
This was confirmed by the board of directors of Federlegno Arredo Eventi SpA, which entrusted Boeri with the task of designing the new concept for the event, which will be held from 5 to 10 September 2021 at Fiera Milano Rho and will also be present in the city.
The spaces and thematic itineraries designed by the team of international curators will interact in an original and dynamic way with the new digital platform of Salone del Mobile.Milano which, after the launch scheduled for June, will show all its potential during the Special Event 2021. The six-day event in September will therefore represent an important innovation hub in view of the 60th edition of the Salone, which will take place in April 2022.

An event also open to the general public

This will be a unique project, in terms of format and artistic conception, which will be aimed not only at the world of sector operators and the international design community, but also, and this is a great innovation, will involve the general public of consumers. Visitors will have access to the exhibition centre for the entire duration of the event and, in addition to viewing the new products and creations of the brands added to the catalogue over the last 18 months, will be able to purchase the companies' creations at exclusive prices at Rho Fiera. Part of the proceeds will go to a charitable cause.

The event, whose name will be revealed shortly, will be unique in the international panorama of events dedicated to furnishing and design, thanks also to the creation of an exhibition where companies will have the opportunity to present the best of their production of the last year and a half in a highly emotional and scenic context.
