The 17th edition concluded on Friday, October 23 —SICAM, the International Exhibition of Components, Semi-finished Products and Accessories for the Furniture Industry—recording excellent results once again this year, confirming the central role the exhibition has consolidated over the years. The ten pavilions hosted, according to preliminary estimates, 24,100 visiting professionals representing 9,450 companies, who came to Pordenone from 125 countries, an increase compared to the previous edition. With over 59 percent of the visitors, Italy ranks first, followed by Germany, Spain, England, France, Greece, the Balkans and Eastern countries. Among non-European countries at the top of the list are, in order, China, the United States and India; arrivals from the Middle East were also very strong, despite the extremely difficult situation the region is going through.

SICAM 2026: the sector looks to the future with optimism

It was undoubtedly an intense edition, rich in ideas, products, meetings and people: in the various pavilions there was a sense of willingness to look forward, despite the complex international situation and the general climate of uncertainty, to present novelties, cutting-edge technologies and innovative solutions capable of stimulating manufacturers, architects and designers in creating the furniture collections we will see at upcoming furniture shows.

The 698 exhibitors (31.4 percent coming from 35 countries) were also satisfied with the quality of the visitors — not mere “browsers”, but industry professionals interested in discovering up close the new decorative finishes, mechanisms, surfaces, panels, adhesives, paints and LED lighting solutions.

We share the words of Carolina Giobbi who stated: “SICAM is a great stage where it was extremely pleasant to gather ideas and inspiration for the future, not only in terms of product, but also by meeting and engaging with markets interested in the Italian and European offering. All of this, as we mentioned, in a pleasant, relaxed, comfortable atmosphere: a true “happy place”, as many now like to call it, which for four days took exhibitors and visitors away from the immediate atmospheres and problems — an optimism the entire sector greatly needed and which allows us to look to the future with new perspectives.”

Success also for the “FuoriSICAM”

A pleasant atmosphere that continued outside the fair as well, thanks to a series of appointments and side events organized by companies and as part of “Enjoy Pordenone with SICAM”, the off-show supported by the Municipality of Pordenone.

The 18th edition of SICAM will be held in Pordenone from October 19 to 22, 2027.
