Everything is now ready for  SICAM 2026,  the International Exhibition of Components, Semi-finished Products and Accessories for the Furniture Industry, scheduled from October 20 to 23 at the Pordenone exhibition center. The 700 exhibitors, 32% of whom come from abroad, will occupy all 20,000 net square meters of exhibition space. The numbers confirm the role of the event as a key international reference event for the subcontracting industry and the furniture industry, also in terms of visitors expected from around the world, in light of pre-registrations. 

The product always takes center stage

Sicam does not focus on numbers or records, but on a consolidated relationship with the international furniture community, where the product always takes center stage. During the four days of the event it will be possible to discover materials, surfaces, components and technological solutions that anticipate market trends.

Business opportunities from new markets

In the past twelve months, moreover, the organizers' efforts have been directed not only to create, as usual, a concrete, enjoyable and effective economic event, but also to strengthen and stimulate relationships with emerging markets, creating opportunities for contacts to give rise to new business opportunities.

Among these is the renewed collaboration with ITA, the government agency for the promotion abroad and internationalization of Italian companies, which will bring to SICAM 2026 a delegation of entrepreneurs, buyers, architects and interior designers from Angola, Canada, Indonesia, Mexico, the United States, South Africa and Vietnam. 

Thanks to a cooperation agreement with the Economic Assembly of Uzbekistan, an organization that promotes the Asian country's economy, a delegation of Uzbek entrepreneurs from the furniture sector will visit the event in search of semi-finished products, materials, hardware and finishes.

Interesting developments could also materialize with markets in the Asia-Pacific area, thanks to a collaboration with FIND Design Fair Asia, an event scheduled in Bangkok in November.

A rich calendar of selected events

This year too SICAM offers a calendar of selected events able to make a concrete contribution to the strategies of the companies exhibiting. 

It starts on Tuesday, October 20 with the Kyiv International Furniture Summit, now in its fifth edition, dedicated to the role of design and the furniture industry in Ukraine's reconstruction process, within the international project "Ukraine: Rebuild Green 2030".

Wednesday, October 21 is full of events that will focus attention on two strategic markets for the sector: Vietnam and the United States. At 11:00, the Italian Chamber of Commerce in Vietnam (ICHAM) will hold the seminar “Discover Vietnam: new business opportunities in Asia” on the commercial, industrial and investment prospects offered by a country of great importance and in continuous, strong expansion. At 5:00 PM, attention will turn to the U.S. market and the main ongoing trends, in the  seminar “Discover the American Market”, also thanks to data provided by NKBA National Kitchen and Bath Association. 

Also on Wednesday, October 21, at 2:00 PM, Federchimica Avisa and Catas will present the volume “The coating of profiles and panels in the furniture and furnishing industry”.

Scheduled for Thursday, October 22 at 5:00 PM, a roundtable titled “What is the designer looking for today from the companies in the supply chain?”, organized by Finiture Green, where industrial designers, architects, service and material suppliers will discuss.

Closing the appointments, as usual, will be, on Friday, October 23, the conference organized in collaboration with ADI Friuli Venezia Giulia to present the results of the projects developed by students based on the challenges proposed by companies at SICAM 2025, and to launch the new research themes that students can explore by visiting the exhibition and meeting the exhibitors.
