Diplom, Italian Design Solution is born from the collaboration between Abet Laminati, an international reality in decorative plastic laminates, and Saib, a company specialized in melamine faced chipboard panels. Diplos is a collection of surfaces and panels complementary to each other for decoration and finishing.Diplos is the combination of high pressure plastic laminate (HPL), melamine faced chipboard (MFC) and ABS edges, a solution designed to offer designers, architects and furniture manufacturers a complete proposal to realize projects of high quality and aesthetic value .The HPL laminate, or High Pressure Laminate, by Abet Laminati is the high pressure decorative laminate. The sheet is made up of layers of cellulose fibers impregnated with thermosetting resins subjected to a high pressure process which consists in the simultaneous application of heat and pressure. HPL laminate sheets are available in different sizes, thicknesses and surface finishes.The Chipboard made by Saib consists of fine and very fine wood particles, hot pressed with low formaldehyde resins. The raw chipboard panel is then ennobled (MFC) with papers and finishes that give it a visual and tactile effect similar to wood, fabric, stone or leather.
