Carlo Piemonte will take up the position of Director General of FederlegnoArredo in January 2026. A deep expert of the supply chain, businesses and institutions with a twenty-year career serving the wood-furniture sector and the national forest supply chains, Carlo Piemonte, 44, will be the youngest Director General in the Federation's history.
Graduated in Law from the University of Trieste, he has been Director General of the Cluster Legno Arredo FVG, Sole Director of the International Center for Italian Design, Technical Consultant to the Directorate for Forests and Mountain Economy of the Masaf and, since 2023, Director General of the National Cluster Italy Forest Wood and president of Legno Servizi. He is also a member of the National Coordination Group for the Bioeconomy at the Presidency of the Council and Vice President of the Working Group of the CBE JU in Brussels.
Over many years of activity he has developed an international network dedicated to promoting the made in Italy, with projects focused on design and on the wood-furniture sector, such as the International Platforms, with permanent offices also in Singapore, Moscow and Shanghai.
Further strengthen the Federation's role
"The choice of Carlo Piemonte, shared with the FLA Presidential Council, - said the president of FederlegnoArredo Claudio Feltrin, - represents an important step for the future of our Federation. His deep knowledge of the various supply chains, the ability to work closely with both companies and with regional, national and European institutions, will constitute a fundamental added value for all our members and for our production system.”
"It is an honour and an emotional moment to take on this role – declared Carlo Piemonte –. From January, I will be available to the entire FederlegnoArredo system and its 11 associations, making listening, dialogue and the development of territories the cornerstones of the role entrusted to me, with the aim of further consolidating the Federation's role as a reference for the Italian wood-furniture system, primarily strengthening ties with the Confindustria world, as well as dialogue with the other system associations. These objectives will go hand in hand with overseeing issues related to forests and their responsible management in a productive and proactive interaction with the competent ministry, also thanks to the valuable role of the National Cluster Italy Forest Wood" .
