Also this year Alpi is participating in Milan Design Week with a dual presence at the Salone del del Mobile.Milano and at FuoriSalone 2026, continuing its research into the surface as a site of design.
The new surfaces bring into dialogue two complementary design visions: on one hand the essential rigor of Piero Lissoni, Art Director of the company since 2015, and on the other the more evocative approach of the Canadian studio Yabu Pushelberg, in its first collaboration with the company.
The stand at the Salone, designed by Piero Lissoni, is an environment built for sequences and variations, where the rhythm of the surfaces and their alternation offer an overview of the expressive possibilities of Alpi wood. In the showroom on Via Solferino, the project unfolds into a more articulated path where the evocative dimension introduced by Yabu Pushelberg confronts the essentiality of the solutions by Lissoni.

The surface as a perceptual field
Yabu Pushelberg has created two collections that explore the surface as a perceptual field: ALPI Aurora and ALPI Birch.
ALPI Aurora Purple develops an iridescent color range where deep tones of purple, blue and petrol green traverse the material with gradual transitions; ALPI Aurora Natural, on the other hand, offers a more tactile and measured interpretation, through a sequence of tones ranging from light to deeper browns.
The surfaces of the ALPI Birch collection reinterpret the natural elegance of birch bark through three color variations: ALPI Birch White, ALPI Birch Grey and ALPI Birch Black.

A linear and refined texture
Piero Lissoni, meanwhile, continues his research into wood species and their contemporary reinterpretation. ALPI Xilo Acacia focuses on a common wood species and reinterprets it through a thermal treatment that enhances its color depth and material presence.
The ALPI Microline surface, offered in seven color variants, presents a soft and welcoming visual character, where the color spreads uniformly and discreetly, generating a linear and refined texture. Up close, the pattern reveals a weave of extremely fine, almost invisible lines that cross the material with a regular rhythm.
