- Multilaminar veneers
Double presence again this year for Alpi at the Milan Design Week with the participation at the Salone del Mobile in Milan and the exhibition at the Alpi showroom in via Solferino 7.
In both locations, the company presented its new woods, the result of collaboration with international and Italian designers and an expression of its great ability to reinvent the wooden material.
Material textures with unprecedented colour nuances
The stand at the Salone, designed by Piero Lissoni, is conceived as an open space where visitors can immediately grasp the variety and richness of the Alpi collections, the result of collaborations with GamFratesi, Konstantin Grcic and Piero Lissoni.
The result of in-depth research into nature, the new Alpi wood collections are characterised by material textures enriched by unprecedented colour nuances.

The new North Light collection by Piero Lissoni
Among the novelties of 2024 is the new North Light collection, curated by Piero Lissoni, a project inspired by Scandinavian worlds of light, tundra and northern lights. North Light is a new declination of Xilo, offered in three woods, Maple, Silver Fir and Scots Pine, in striped and flamed grain; Maple is also available in frisé grain.
As Piero Lissoni explains, "this is a collection of visually light woods that are well suited to any context, they are cultured woods that recapture naturalness and brightness, a collection of woods with a silent presence".

The renewed collaboration with GamFratesi
Another important novelty this year is the renewed collaboration with GamFratesi, an Italian-Danish architecture studio that bases its work on the perfect fusion of tradition and innovation, craftsmanship and technology, rigour and poetry.
Two collections are proposed: Alpi Wooclé and Alpi Peacock.

To create Alpi Wooclé, GamFratesi were faced with the challenge of working with a two-dimensional material such as ALPIlignum. Its fabrication technique allows it to bring depth and texture even to a flat surface, thus creating a full visual experience. ALPI Alpi Wooclé is available in two colour variants: Alpi Wooclé Yellow and Alpi Wooclé Grey.
The second collection, Alpi Peacock, is inspired by the complexity of the arboreal world. GamFratesi found inspiration in tree barks, leaves and wood, arriving at a final result that, while maintaining a certain abstraction, preserves the legibility of wood. Alpi Peacock is available in two colour variants: Alpi Peacock Grey and Alpi Peacock Brown.
"When you work with a two-dimensional material, it is interesting to give it three-dimensionality. - say GamFratesi - Of course you cannot do it physically, but you can do it graphically. In both projects we therefore tried to bring three-dimensionality through pattern, through the calibrated play of shadows and colour'.
Alpi Tramonto by Konstantin Grcic
The latest novelty is the expansion of the wood collection realised in collaboration with German designer Konstantin Grcic: alongside Alpi Arcobaleno and Alpi Raggiosole, Alpi Tramonto is born, a new colour variant that bases its aesthetics on alternating shades of red, burgundy, brown and black, in a studied and expressive sequence.

A certified, eco-responsible product
This year, Alpi presents two important developments for ALPIlignum: the entire collection is FSC® 100% certified (FSC-C004666), which guarantees that it comes from well-managed forests according to strict environmental, economic and social standards. In addition, the collection has achieved fire behaviour that classifies it as Bs1d0, giving it a new level of safety and conformity to design requirements. Alpi is therefore a guarantee of a certified and eco-responsible product.
