Two vibrant tones such as Himacs Banana and Himacs Orange were chosen by the CATO Creative architecture studio for the complete renovation of the kitchen of a Victorian house in London. The bold use of color resulted in a striking design, creating a sunny environment that not only brightens the space but also helps counter the grayness of the English winter.

A wide range of colors and finishes

Blocks of vibrant color define the different zones and functions, creating a dynamic, playful and stimulating environment: the Orange tone gives character to the kitchen island, while the Banana finish enhances the wall cabinets. Both the surfaces, made in the Solid Surface Himacs, conceived and produced by LX Hausys, ensure a design without visible joints, maximum hygiene and ease of cleaning. 

As Mark Barratt, the project's creator, explains, "The Solid Surface Himacs was chosen for its wide range of colors and finishes, allowing a creative design capable of integrating any furnishing style. Thanks to its robustness and resistance, it meets the demands of daily use, offering a reliable and elegant option. Himacs defines the key elements of this kitchen space."

A coherent and elegant look

The four kitchen blocks have specific functions, from food preparation to cooking to storage, each with its own color personality. The colors were then harmoniously matched to the furniture finishes, creating a coherent and elegant look. To enhance the Himacs Orange and Banana surfaces, wall-mounted wooden furnishings were added, custom-made to house pantries, a bar unit and refrigerators. The particular mix of colors and tones continues into the living area, with a wooden dining table that adds a rustic touch to this contemporary kitchen.

Himacs is an extremely versatile surface that combines refined aesthetics, lasting quality and practical usability. Thanks to its wide range of colors, from neutral tones to more vibrant ones, from veined stone effects to particle finishes, this Solid Surface adapts perfectly to any kitchen style. Its smooth, homogeneous and non-porous composition guarantees not only an elegant appearance and pleasant tactile feel, but also functionality and hygiene: it does not absorb moisture, is extremely stain-resistant, and easy to clean, maintain and repair.
