Strengthen its role as a development platform for the supply chain at a particularly complex moment for the sector by consolidating on the one hand its events such as Salone Internazionale del Mobile, Salone Internazionale del Complemento d'Arredo, Workplace3.0 and S.Project and on the other expanding it with three projects that interpret the sector’s most significant transformations: the biennial Euroluce, the Salone Contract and the Salone Raritas.
This is the strategy guiding the next edition of the Salone 2027, scheduled at Fiera Milano Rho from April 13 to 18, presented during the press conference held at Fondazione Sozzani on October 6.
“The heart of the Salone – ha sottolineato Maria Porro, President of the Salone del Mobile.Milano - remains in the companies and in the events that make up its backbone: it is there that the industry presents itself, engages and builds relationships with the global market. Large brands, family businesses, entities of different sizes and highly specialized companies find at the Salone visibility, counterparts and development opportunities that are difficult to replicate elsewhere. The new projects and the international path do not move this centre, but expand its capacity to generate opportunities, connecting companies with new clients and with those who design, decide, invest and buy around the world”.

Salone del Mobile.Milano World Tour: internationalization and new markets
The international dimension of the Salone has always been a fundamental element: in 2026 foreign exhibitors accounted for 38.6% of the total, while 316,342 visitors came from 167 countries, with the share of international professional operators equal to 68%.
For large groups, the Salone therefore remains a global platform for positioning and launch; for smaller companies it represents access to an international network that is difficult to reach individually.
To support companies’ internationalization, the Salone organizes, in collaboration with ICE and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the World Tour, a mobile platform for relations and development that brings the event to the contexts where demand, relationships and opportunities are formed: London, Paris, Madrid, Singapore, Shanghai, Hong Kong, New Delhi, Riyadh, Cape Town, New York, Chicago and Miami are just some of the stops of this business mission.
Euroluce 2027: lighting design and research
At a time when light is taking on an increasingly complex role in contemporary design, Euroluce, the most important Biennale dedicated to lighting design, returns to the spotlight. Building on the 306 exhibitors of the last edition, 45% from abroad, it presents the second edition of The Euroluce International Lighting Forum, directed by Annalisa Rosso, which will revisit the concept Light for Life. Light for Spaces, developing it as an interdisciplinary research platform on the future of light.
“Euroluce represents light in all its dimensions, from the decorative to the architectural. The Euroluce International Lighting Forum, which we strongly wanted, fits into this development to bring designers, architects and lighting designers into dialogue with the worlds of research, culture and innovation,” commented Carlo Urbinati, President of Assoluce.

Salone Contract 2027: the debut of the platform for the contract sector
The real novelty of this 65th edition will be the debut of Salone Contract, a platform dedicated to a market in which value shifts from the single product to the ability to integrate products, services, skills and management within complex projects. The relationship between industry and client therefore changes: the ability to dialogue with architects, interior designers, developers, investors, operators and professional clients is required, responding to needs that include customization, large volumes, timing and costs, logistics, installation, coordination and reliability throughout the entire contract. Consequently, the selection of exhibiting companies at Salone Contract is aimed at those realities capable of combining design quality, industrial capacity and operational reliability.
Shaping Salone Contract will be the Masterplan by Rem Koolhaas and David Gianotten /OMA: instead of traditional stands, the space is organized around four devices: the Dome, the Podiums, the Project Spaces and the B2B areas, environments designed to promote visibility, orientation, one-to-one meetings, project presentations, negotiation and business.
To support the project, a collaboration between Salone del Mobile.Milano and PwC is also born, with the aim of building a body of content and expertise that provides companies with a clearer vision of the future trajectories of the Contract sector and the capabilities needed to seize its opportunities. The sector in fact has considerable potential as the figures reveal: PwC’s initial elaborations estimate the global potential value of Contract FF&E supplies in the main asset classes between 80 and 100 billion euros. The Americas represent the largest area (34.8 and 42.6 billion euros), followed by APAC (27.9 and 34.2 billion) and EMEA (16.7 and 20.4 billion).

Salone Raritas 2027: collectible design and high craftsmanship
After last year’s debut, Salone Raritas returns, the platform dedicated to limited editions, one-off pieces, antiques and high creative craftsmanship. The first edition saw the presence of 28 galleries from 12 countries and 59 designers, demonstrating the possibility of bringing a different scale of design to the heart of the Salone, complementary to industrial production.
Curated by Annalisa Rosso, Editorial Director and Cultural Advisor of Salone del Mobile.Milano, with exhibition design by Formafantasma, the second edition announces a prominent name such as architect, designer and set designer India Mahdavi, who for over twenty years has shown great ability to move between object and space, craft and contemporaneity, authorial design and production, cultures and different geographies.
