Proposte’s 33rd edition concluded on May 7 at Villa Erba, Cernobbio. Proposte confirmed itself as the international fair of reference for the furnishing textile sector, curtains, trimmings and wallcoverings, serving as a privileged meeting place for production excellence, research and the culture of design.
Relations, business and international exchange
There were 87 exhibiting companies present at the fair (+11% compared to 2025) from 14 countries, selected for the high qualitative level of their collections and for their ability to interpret the new needs
of the international market. The offer included fabrics in jacquard and dobby for upholstery and curtains, velvets, embroideries and printed fabrics, as well as solutions for contract and wallcoverings. 49% of the companies offered flame-retardant fabrics and 64% proposed outdoor solutions, confirming a growing market.

Regarding visitors, over the three days there were more than 2,500 buyers with a 5% increase compared to the previous edition. The top five source markets were Italy, the UK, the United States, Germany and France, confirming the high professional and international profile that has always characterized the fair.
Massimo Mosiello, director of Proposte, said: “We are pleased with the increase in attendance, but what really matters to us is the quality of the connections created during the three days of work. From discussions with exhibitors, a very high level of satisfaction emerges on this front: an important sign that confirms the value of Proposte as a platform for relations, business and international exchange.”
Dialogue between textiles and furnishings
At the center of the 2026 edition of Proposte was the increasingly close dialogue between textiles, furnishings and spatial design. As Marco Parravicini, President of Proposte, explained, “one of the goals of this edition was to further strengthen the dialogue between the world of textiles and that of’furnishings, enhancing the connections between materials, design and hospitality. The installations and common areas were intended to express exactly this vision, offering visitors an even more engaging and coherent experience with the sector’s evolution.”
In this spirit, a collaboration was established with architect Cristina Celestino, who was commissioned to design the common areas starting from the Ala Regina, and with contributions from top partners such as Contardi Lighting, Crema Outdoor, Meridiani, Roda and Saba.
