Rubinetterie Treemme, a consolidated reality in the international panorama of the sector, is celebrating its fifty years of activity this year.
Fifty years of success which have seen the company evolve from a small craft workshop to become a brand recognized worldwide for the quality, innovation and design of its production.
Founded in 1968 in Asciano, in the province of Siena, by the three partners Renato Michelangioli, Armando Medina and Guido Mencarelli, the company first takes the name “Rubinetterie Toscane 3M“ from the same initials of the three members' surnames, to change in 1989, in a phase of great internationalization, in the current “Rubinetterie Treemme“.
From the very beginning, the company has put a lot of attention to design research, collaborating with valid designers: first, back in 1980, it launched the colour fashion with the Arcobaleno line of taps, designed by Studio Design Calonaci & Gazzei.
With the entry of the second generation, Rubinetterie Treemme has recorded, in the last decades, an exponential growth especially in export consolidating its presence in European and extra-European countries.
However, success has not changed the distinctive element of the company: even today, the focus is on quality of materials and customer service, plus investments in research and technology to offer ever more innovative products.
Investments have also been made at the structural level with the inclusion of new painting and galvanizing plants and the renewal of the entire production sector at the Asciano site.
The recognition of the company's commitment is evidenced by the prestigious international awards that have been awarded for design, sustainability and technological innovation: the ADI Compasso d'Oro, the German Design Award, the Reddot Design Award, the ADI Ceramics Design Award, the Grand Ethical Design and the Design Plus Award.
