Mathera, the innovative new-generation surface project born from the collaboration between SAIB Egger Group and Diego Grandi, proposes an unprecedented combination of design and production innovation.
Inspired by the world of stone, Mathera offers tactile visual solutions of great expressive value that lend themselves to various furnishing proposals, such as worktops, kitchen and bathroom furniture, boiseries and doors, but also home office furniture, multi-purpose containers and tables for the residential, contract and hospitality sectors.
A new type of panel
Created by combining a thin layer of quartz, stone and wood powders from processing waste and amalgamated with resinous binders, the surface is combined with a SAIB Egger Group chipboard made exclusively from post-consumer wood, in line with the values of the circular economy.
Mathera panels, cut and shaped to measure, allow architects and designers to create a furnishing project with maximum design freedom. Tops, shelves of different lengths, open shelving and storage units thus become the protagonists of a customised space. Used as wall cladding, the panels can create elegant wall panels.
A solid, high-performance surface
Solid and technologically advanced, the Mathera surface is highly resistant to impact, scratching and rubbing. Totally recyclable at the end of its life, its light weight greatly simplifies transport and laying operations.
Three finishes are available: Selce, Areia and Gipso. Selce explores the world of split stone by evoking the light ripples of slate. Areia is a uniform and compact texture scattered with contrasting mineral grains and light three-dimensional reliefs.
Gipso is a delicate, silky surface to the touch reminiscent of the pastiness of chalk, characterised by soft tones typical of limestone. Animated by a slight surface movement, the Gipso texture is available in grey, red, beige and green, which can be used individually or alternated with each other to create original chromatic solutions. Gipso, combined with the Selce and Areia textures, makes it possible to create infinite furnishing proposals. The three available thicknesses (18, 22 and 38 mm) and a series of edgings in the same colours guarantee all application possibilities.
