Lhov, Elica's innovative integrated cooking and suction system designed by Fabrizio Crisà, has won the Compasso D'Oro, an international design award now in its 28th edition. 

On June 20, in the spaces of ADI Design Museum in Milan, President Francesco Casoli and Fabrizio Crisà, Elica's Chief Design Officer, received the prestigious award for the second time in the company's history.

Lhow revolutionizes the idea of household appliances

Lhov's innovation and design once again demonstrated the company's vocation toward constant research in combining aesthetics and functionality. 

"To have won the Compasso d'Oro with a product like Lhov for me represents the 'second' most important celebration of my work as a designer"-comments Fabrizio Crisà-the second because it is the second Compasso d'Oro I have received after the first one in 2018 with NikolaTesla! And the second one gives an even stronger emotion because, as with all incredible and extraordinary things, it seemed impossible it could happen again. Lhov is a product that was born out of an inspiration, a night when all the dots connected on their own to create this unique product. It was a challenge that seemed impossible, because Lhov is a product that carries with it so much innovation, that revolutionizes the idea of household appliances in the kitchen. And only Elica, I must say with a bit of madness and recklessness, could enthusiastically aim to make such a long leap by overcoming all limits. This award tells us that we made the right choices, and that leap today brought us to Lhov. And winning the Compasso d'Oro with a household appliance makes it all the more extraordinary."

An award-winning product

Already the recipient of 13 awards - ADI Design Index, ADI Design Index Innovation Award, Red Dot Award, IF Design Award, German Design Award, German Innovation Award - Lhov now also wins the prestigious international design award Compasso D'Oro. 

Lhov's design is truly winning: black glass surfaces, without knobs and handles, enhance the extreme linearity of the kitchen design. The oven door opens and closes with a simple touch. The digital display, as intuitive as a smartphone, transforms the countless controls into simple and immediate gestures.
