Now in its eleventh edition, the Cristalplant® Design Contest is the international competition promoted by Cristalplant® that this year sees the collaboration with Kristalia, a manufacturer of furniture and accessories with modern design and Made in Italy quality.The competition involves young designers and designers, born after 01/01/1983, invited to design an accessory dedicated to the entrance area, or a piece of floor or wall furniture for the realization of which the Cristalplant material must be the protagonist.The entrance area in contemporary homes has almost disappeared and for this reason the furnishing accessories such as coat hangers, hat boxes, consoles, shelves, umbrella stands, coffee tables, wall mirrors, coat hangers must today fulfill the same function, fitting into the living area and interacting with style in a harmonious way.Participation is free and designers can participate with multiple projects.In the evaluation of the projects, various factors will be taken into consideration, including design, originality, elegance and essentiality consistent with the Kristalia language and the ability to best express the aesthetic pleasure of Cristalplant®, a composite material, technologically advanced . The winning projects will be selected and awarded by a jury of experts who will elect a winner and a maximum of five special mentions for each category. The award ceremony will be held as every year during the Salone del Mobile in Milan. The selected projects will be presented to the public and the press in the Kristalia showroom in Via Larga, at the corner of Piazza Santo Stefano, 5 for the awards ceremony to be held on Wednesday 10 April 2019.
