Unox, a company that designs, manufactures and markets professional ovens for the catering, retail, pastry and bakery sectors, takes a decisive step in the Group's growth path.
In fact, on September 12, Unox City was inaugurated, the new industrial hub of 130,000 m², sustainable and innovative in the industrial area between Cadoneghe and Campodarsego (Pd). With an investment of over 100 million euros, Unox City integrates production facilities, a Logistic Hub, an Innovation Hub and an Experience Hub in a single area.

Industrial expansion and local roots
The Unox City project, which dates back more than ten years, has a vision of industrial expansion and rooting in the territory. It is, in fact, part of an industrial plan that foresees a total of 12 production plants in Italy, confirming the Group's intention to invest in the country and make it the nerve center of its activity, contributing to the area's growth. Growth not only in logistics but also in employment, which could reach 1,800 employees compared to the current 800, strengthening the industrial and social fabric of the area where the industrial hub is located.
As explained by the President and founder Enrico Franzolin: “Since the 1990s, when many companies chose to relocate, we made a different choice: to stay and invest in our territory, building a local and integrated production system. Unox City is the culmination of a strategy that has led us to keep our production chain in Italy, strengthening a vertically integrated industrial system and providing new job and growth opportunities to hundreds of people.” Unox City represents the starting point for a new phase of internationalization. “Just these days - declared Nicola Michelon, CEO of Unox – we have started production in our new plant in the United States, the first abroad, a fundamental piece of a strategy that places Italy at the center of our global network.”

Research and digital innovation
Entering the new industrial hub from the North entrance, the first plant encountered is the Innovation Hub: 20,000 square meters of laboratories and offices where over 120 people work every day to imagine the future of professional ovens. A tree-lined boulevard then leads to the two twin plants of 21,000 m² each, where the industrial scale of Unox City is apparent with highly automated production plants, 16 loading bays, automated vertical warehouses and flows organized by geographic area that reduce shipping times by 30%.
Past the Logistic Hub you reach the South entrance, where the iconic Cadoneghe headquarters is transformed into a true Experience Hub: renovated spaces, demonstration kitchens, test areas and training rooms allow you to directly experience Unox's technological innovations.
Within the Hub stands out Unox Casa, the Group's division dedicated to the luxury residential sector. A further expansion is already planned with the creation of a fully dedicated showroom, where architects, designers and private clients will be able to personally try the innovative solutions devised by Unox Casa for high-end domestic kitchens.

Sustainability and focus on the territory and people
Unox City is also an example of sustainable urban redevelopment, designed according to the highest standards of energy efficiency and environmental respect: 3.2 MW of photovoltaic power installed in Cadoneghe and another 0.8 MW in Vigodarzere, 99% of the energy requirement covered by renewable sources, over 23,000 new plants and systems for recovering rainwater.
The new industrial hub has been conceived with great attention to people’s well-being: green areas, cycle paths, relaxation zones and ergonomic work environments are central elements of the design. Among the next planned interventions stands out the construction of the new company canteen, conceived as a meeting and sharing place, equipped with comfortable spaces and accessible services for all employees.
