During Milan Design Week 2017, Material ConneXion® Italy organizes the exhibition event “New materials for a smart city“ within the platform ‘Materials Village’ at Superstudio Più in Via Tortona.
The exhibition, will have the patronage of the Municipality of Milan and aims to offer an articulate overview on the frontier of innovation of enabling technologies for the construction of new smart cities.
The exhibition is divided into four thematic areas, showing useful technologies and materials to improve the functioning of the city and the lives of its inhabitants: from smart materials and solutions for public and domestic environmental comfort or solutions for ICT and information/data exchange in the urban field.
The exhibition integrates: communicative elements (videos, images, key word, descriptive texts...) of important solutions related to smart cities (symbol buildings, emblematic infrastructure, virtuos models, best practices); physical samples of solutions provided by exhibiting companies; gallery of tabulae selected from the Library of innovative and sustainable materials of Material ConneXion® Italia.
Surface-modular display will showcase technologies and materials of the exhibiting companies and sponsors, developing a harmonized and coherent exhibition layout. The exhibition will be integrated with meeting events, discussion and dialogue on various issues about technological materials related to smart cities.
Among the exhibitors selected, also Pelma, the industry leader in the production of flexible foam polyurethane, is at the forefront in producing a wide range of products with different physical and mechanical characteristics and fire behavior, able to meet the different market needs. Pelma was present with two products: DryFlex®, the first flexible hydrophobic polyurethane and Thermofresh®, an innovative material that absorbs heat and maintains constant temperature.
