- Lighting for furniture
At interzum 2023, Blum presented Amperos, a cutting-edge, simple and safe solution for the electrification of furniture. With Amperos, devices can be powered or recharged directly in the drawer, and light can be used to create an atmospheric ambience or useful lighting.
The new product, which received the 'Best of the Best' award from the jury of the interzum Award 2023, combines design and functionality and is designed to improve the quality of living.
Amperos: electrify furniture simply and safely
Amperos is Blum's simple and safe solution for electrifying furniture. Processing, assembly and commissioning are easy and require no electrical expertise. Electricity is channelled safely and without suspended or visible cables into drawers or pull-out shelves. In this way, it is possible to light, charge and operate electrical devices inside and on the moving elements of the cabinet. Amperos is just the starting point for a wide range of creative applications that Blum plans to realise in the future.
Amperos AC: ideal as a single solution and for pull-out shelves
Blum offers two solutions: Amperos AC and Amperos DC.
Amperos AC is a 230 V single solution that can be combined with Blum pull-out systems and uses an existing interface at the Blum side rail of Legrabox and Movento. Retrofitting is also possible without additional space at the bottom or rear. Amperos AC does not require a back panel and is therefore particularly suitable for pull-out shelves for supplying automatic coffee machines, household appliances, printers or other equipment.
Amperos DC brings light into drawers
Amperos DC (pictured) is a well-designed 24 V infrastructure that provides power to entire cabinets. Drawers can be conveniently plugged and unplugged without having to loosen cables. The solution brings light into the drawers and also offers a charging option via the USB-C connector. The future-proof interface allows electronic devices to be stored in the same place and recharged at the same time. Thanks to a busbar at the rear of the cabinet, there is no longer any need to lay bulky wiring or replace batteries. USB ports and lighting can be operated and controlled via an app.
