Always focused on developing technologies that combine innovation, design and functionality, Elica offers the line of kitchen hoods Dropless, a range of anti-condensation extraction systems designed and tested to counter the formation of condensation droplets. During cooking, especially when using induction cooktops, the contact between hot air and the colder surfaces of the hood can generate the formation of condensation.
Anti-condensation technology: two advanced systems
Two systems underlie Elica's anti-condensation technology: the No Drip system and the Dry system.
The No Drip system is a technological solution designed to directly counter the formation of condensation droplets. Special heating elements integrated into the structure of the hood keep the internal surface at an optimal temperature, preventing the vapor from turning into moisture.
The Dry system, on the other hand, focuses on an optimized structural design to minimize contact between cooking vapors and the surface of the hood, preventing the formation of condensation.
In both solutions, residual vapor particles are captured by tilted grilles that channel the drops into a removable container, easy to empty for immediate and effective maintenance. In built-in models, the front visor further protects the kitchen cabinet, preventing its direct exposure to cooking vapors.

The hoods featured in the Dropless line
Elica's Dropless anti-condensation line is designed to adapt to any kitchen layout — built-in, wall-mounted or island — through solutions united by a technological and high-performance approach.
Among the most representative solutions of the Dropless range, Haiku Dry stands out: the wall-mounted or island hood that perfectly combines aesthetic research and functional innovation. The new Matt Black finish enhances its contemporary character, while technologies such as Connex and Comfort Silence make interaction even more intuitive and create a kitchen environment free from noise.
The hood Boxin Touch Dry (in the opening image) combines essential design, technological innovation and professional performance. In these two hoods we find the Dry System technology which features a design devised to minimize the areas of contact of the hoods with cooking vapors, thus preventing the formation of condensation.
The No Drip System technology is applied, instead, to the angled hood Majestic No Drip. This offers high extraction performance and more effective steam management in the kitchen, thanks to the double extraction surface, positioned both in the central area and in the lower area.
