Sustainable excellence
Nominations for the new “Rethinking Resources” category ranged from recyclable wood-based materials and bio-based surfaces to digital tools for designing energy-efficient products. These solutions are united by the intelligent use of renewable raw materials, efficient material design, and the integration of circular principles throughout the entire value chain.
In this category, three projects received the “Best of the Best” award: the Dynamic Living residential module from Häfele SE & Co KG, which enables flexible use of space in small spaces through movable walls, modular furniture and integrated lighting solutions; the Vita Advanced mattress from Vita Group, which achieves a new level of circular design through the use of balanced-mass, recycled and bio-circular raw materials; Furniture Linoleum from Forbo Flooring B.V, a surface solution based entirely on natural raw materials such as linseed oil, recycled wood flour, paper backing and limestone.
