Biesse Group is a global leader in technology for processing wood, glass, stone, plastic and metal, has provided further confirmation of its astounding growth, registering a new record for 2016 at Xylexpo, the biennial trade fair dedicated to technologies for processing wood and components for the furniture industry.
Indeed, the orders received by the group have grown by 103% since the 2014 edition of the same event. This latest development serves to further reiterate the Group's established success across the Italian territory, and primarily among Italian customers, bearing testimony to the fact that investment in human capital, innovation and technology can have an overwhelmingly positive impact even in regions and markets that are far from straightforward. And indeed, Biesse has received a number of major accolades in recognition of the innovative nature of its technologies, the most recent of which were presented at the XIA - Xylexpo Innovation Awards, which bestows a series of prestigious prizes on the most advanced solutions presented at the fair.
“It is with enormous pride that we announce our record order intake, and we welcome this confirmation of the widespread recognition of Biesse as a symbol of excellence in the domestic market as well as abroad. Furthermore, this achievement serves to demonstrate the desire of our customers, both big and small, to push forward towards a more advanced and efficient industrial era, with Biesse at their sides as a key partner for success“, states Federico Broccoli, Biesse Wood Division Director/Sales - Subsidiaries Division Director.
Xylexpo this year has served as proof that the domestic and European market is in recovery, and that the concept of “Smart Factories“, which are within the reach of everyone, is really gaining ground, with small and medium-sized businesses expressing their enthusiasm for the 4th Industrial Revolution, thanks to Biesse's ability to offer intuitive “4.0-ready“ solutions that can be tailored to the size and requirements of each and every one of our customers.
A crowd of journalists visited today the 2000 m2 of exposition space at Biesse booth for an up-close look at integrated installations, equipment for machining both solid wood and regular panels, and new software modules that simplify the task of managing manufacturing processes.
During the visit journalists could appreciate automation and 4.0 solutions for woodworking processing and the bLab where the intelligence behind the machine is created. Here they were welcomed by Paolo Tarchioni, Biesse Group Innovation Director who told how Biesse is approaching to the Internet of Things (IoT), illustrated by the Machine Knowledge Center pilot project, developed in collaboration with Accenture and Microsoft. The project allows for remote control of machines, planning maintenance operations efficiently, and providing operators with advice on how to optimise production and make the most of the machine's potential.
At Xylexpo, Biesse Group, has announced its acquisition of 100% of shares in Uniteam SpA. Since 1991, this Venetian industrial company, soon to be part of Biesse, has specialised in the design and manufacture of CNC multi-axis machining centres for wood construction materials, machining of advanced materials and a range of other special applications from automotive to prototyping, among others.
