Falmec's Monolith extractor fan system, part of the Elements collection, won the BIG SEE Product Design Award 2023 for its great creative and design freedom of composition and its technological concept. 

The international award, which works to enhance the creative force in South East Europe with 2,000 award-winning projects from over 21 different countries, highlights the culture of innovation and collaboration. The principles of ergonomics, aesthetics, sustainable ethics and business potential are the criteria behind the BIG SEE Awards, which each year recognise the creative and entrepreneurial prestige of international companies in the fields of design, architecture, fashion and tourism. 

It was on the basis of these criteria that the jury, made up of journalists, architects, designers and leading figures on the creative scene, awarded the prize to Falmec's innovative Monolith multifunctional suction system.

Monolith: a multifunctional vacuum system 

Designed to meet the various needs in the kitchen, the Monolith extraction system transforms the extraction concept into a multifunctional solution. In fact, it is configured as an equipped duct, consisting of a 90 cm hood module that can be combined with additional 30, 60 and 90 cm storage modules, allowing for a functional and customised set-up. The latter are prepared for natural beech wood accessories such as utensils, chopping boards and spice racks, electrical sockets and USB sockets. 

The hood unit and storage modules are made of aluminium in an elegant matt black finish with a satin glass front on both the front and back. The system also features an ambient light that creates a pleasant light line along its base. 

Suitable for both induction and gas hobs, the Monolith suction system guarantees easy installation and relies on a powerful and silent 800 m3/h brushless motor (energy class A ++) controlled via an ergonomic touch control panel.
