The New Playone 90 tapware collection, designed by Francesco Lucchese for Fir Italia, is the natural evolution of the previous line, Playone 85, characterised by essential and refined shapes. It differs from this one in the even thinner thickness of the spout, the shape of the lever and the very dry, well-defined corners. The original lines designed by Francesco Lucchese have therefore been translated into coherent, essential forms, giving rise to a highly innovative collection of taps in which the linearity of the design blends perfectly with functionality.

A collection of faucets with a modern, minimalist design

This new collection of faucets represents the perfect synthesis of the values that designer Francesco Lucchese, also art director of the company, and Fir Italia have in common: the drive towards innovation and the search for perfection. In the transition from one collection to the next, Francesco Lucchese opted for a virtuous subtraction, reducing the thickness of the spout and making it even thinner, resulting in an increasingly modern and minimalist design. The evolution of the new line involved not only the shape and position of the elongated lever, but also the corners, which are even more defined than before.
As Francesco Lucchese says: “The design of a renewed shape for the Playone collection stems from the need to update its lines in relation to the current context and make it an even more appealing collection. The re-proportioned volumes and more taut lines create an elegant and refined product. Simple, rational lines that imprint a timeless design on the memory. The minimalism of Playone was, and remains in this new interpretation, unique in contemporary tapware“.

The Outfit finishes

The taps in the New Playone 90 range are also available in the new finishes of The Outfit programme, the result of intense research and development to guarantee maximum reliability and the highest quality materials. The line of finishes is available in the matt colours of the Black to White version, with different shades of grey between black and white, or in the sophisticated shades of Matt Luxe, inspired by the refinement of metallic minerals. Gold is the dominant colour in the Matt Golden family. The finishes of The Outfit programme, with their matt colours between white, grey and black, express their great personality even in the most exclusive bathrooms.

Faucets with a focus on eco-sustainability

All the taps and fittings by Fir Italia, which has always been attentive to eco-sustainability, are equipped as standard with green aerators, guaranteeing a significant reduction in water consumption. With the water-saving washbasin mixers, moreover, water consumption can be halved. The focus on green is also reflected in the choice of taps made from zero-lead brass.
