The digital platform of Salone del Mobile.Milano has been online since June 30 and was presented through a talk show moderated by Victoria Cabello, which saw the participation of Claudio Feltrin, president of FederlegnoArredo, Maria Porro, president of Assarredo, and Marco Sabetta, general manager of Salone del Mobile.Milano. Annalisa Rosso, editorial director of the platform, in a conversation with journalist Riccardo Luna, a lover of innovation and an expert in technology, pointed out that no economic sector can now do without digital and illustrated the potential of this new Salone project. The meeting was also attended by architect Stefano Boeri, curator of the "supersalone", who revealed some more news about the special event scheduled from September 5 to 10 in Milan, Rho Fiera.

 

Objectives and contents of the platform

The digital platform of Salone del Mobile.Milano has a twofold objective: on the one hand, to amplify its authority, influence and leadership, supporting the trade fair dimension over time from a strategic, commercial and communicative point of view; on the other hand, to create value and become a business driver for exhibiting companies, increasing their visibility, multiplying the ways and times of connection with their target, capitalizing on the services offered. It is therefore proposed to combine the digital dimension with the physical experience of the Fair.
Let's come to the contents of the digital platform of Salone del Mobile.Milano. There will be original editorial content, both b2b and b2c, updated several times a day, divided into thematic sections, with a transversal focus on design, furnishings, art, architecture, science and technology. There will be interviews with the protagonists of these sectors and the most interesting profiles of the national and international cultural scene, collaborations with magazines and the most authoritative names in the field.
Space will also be given to companies that will be able to talk about themselves, in a free and independent way, through texts, images and videos.  The value of the platform lies in its interactivity: companies will have at their disposal breakout rooms, virtual showrooms, digital contact channels that will guarantee an immediate and profitable exchange with the target before, after and during the Fair.
Finally, the platform will have contents linked more specifically to the event and to the services dedicated to the experience at the fair: ticketing and information to be able to organize the visit and plan the appointments for that week, applications to facilitate the meeting between supply and demand of furniture.

 

A multidimensional tool

The digital platform is therefore intended to be a multidimensional tool that activates strategic collaborations, unites and relates different audiences, and integrates functions at the service of all Salone del Mobile.Milano events.
Claudio Feltrin, President of FederlegnoArredo, satisfied with the digital project of Salone del Mobile.Milano, commented: "From today it is Salone all year round. Thanks to the digital platform, the world's most famous design fair will remain 'open' 365 days. Annalisa Rosso, editorial director of the platform, points out that this is a choral project, which brings together the many different voices and identities that have always made up an incredible network: companies and their products, trade magazines, insiders from all over the world, design enthusiasts. It is from the meeting of these international realities and from the interactive exchange that ideas and opportunities are born, which, just as happens physically at the fair, make the Salone a unique and unmissable event.
