“Looking ahead“ was the message launched at interzum 2019 where Ica launched the innovative line of X-MATT paints, developed by the Research and Development laboratories.
The exceptional chemical-physical performance and self-repairing qualities of the X-MATT line have been recognized to the extent that they have been awarded the coveted interzum award in the “Intelligent material & design” category.
The hi-tech coatings of the X-MATT line are surprising for their extreme resistance and are also
anti-scratch, anti-fingerprint, ultra-matt, anti-reflective, soft to the touch and self-repairing. This innovative line of paints for interior furnishings, suitable for any type of surface, obtains ultra-matt properties with high performance characteristics from a chemical-physical point of view, maintaining a level of VOC emissions in application below what can be obtained with traditional UV products.

BIO Coatings Line

In addition to the innovative X-MATT paint, the company also presented an expansion of the BIO Coatings range, the line of paints formulated with renewable raw materials, generated by innovative refining processes of “waste“ vegetable substances, not competitive with human nutrition.  From the point of view of sustainability, the BIO Coatings line goes even further, as its production cycle makes it possible to drastically cut CO2 emissions into the atmosphere.
ICA Group's vegetable-based coatings have hardness, chemical resistance and resistance to light, as well as industrial processability, similar to the corresponding ICA oil-based products, and in some cases even superior.
At the Ica Group stand at interzum, the BIO coatings took shape thanks in part to the furnishings for the world of children by Cocò&Design, the eco-friendly concept that rethinks the way of living in the bedroom.

The INK Innovation

Another interesting novelty proposed by Ica Group at interzum 2019, is INK, a series of concentrated dyes that, following simple instructions, allows you to obtain many shades of great chromatic impact. It is an innovation that determines a significant change in the production of dyes for wood; INK takes into account the current color trends in the world of dyes to obtain a visual result of trend.
Also in this case, the company aims to meet the needs of professionals, designers and architects who must have access to high-performance and innovative solutions.
