2014: POSITIVE RESULTS FOR THE COSENTINO GROUP

The Cosentino Group, a world leader in the production and distribution of innovative surfaces for architecture and design, concluded 2014 with the presence of sales force and resources in all five continents, a milestone reached after the recent opening of a service platform in South Africa. In addition, the Group expects to end the year with a turnover of 560 million euro, producing an increase of 14.7% compared to 2013 and with 90% of sales generated abroad. This information was announced during the annual Strategic Conference that the multinational company organized in its headquarters in Almeria, Spain, in December, which was attended by the company’s top management. This edition was attended by about 70 people from all the countries where the company operates, including representatives from new markets such as Japan, Turkey, Israel, Canada and South Africa. To date Cosentino is present in 29 countries with employees, sales force and its own productive resources. In his opening address, Francisco Martínez-Cosentino, Chairman of the Cosentino Group, emphasized the strengthening of the global launch of the Dekton® ultra compact surface, the gradual digitization of the organization, which in 2015 will have about 3,000 employees, and the continued commitment of the company for the industrial safety of all the production centers of the multinational company. In addition, the Chairman indicated, as a challenge for the future, the increasing of diversification of niche markets, a goal that can be achieved with the introduction of new talents and with an internal promotion of employees based on constant training. As for this year's budget, one of the most important achievements has been the growth in the international diversification of the group, linked to the variety of innovative systems to extend sale and distribution. For this reason, 2014 has led to the inauguration of 10 new Cosentino Centers, a Cosentino City and to the opening of two new markets with a sales office and a new service platform. From the point of view of the markets, this year Cosentino has entered for the first time in countries such as Canada and Turkey, in the latter with three Centers. In addition, it has strengthened its position in Australia with two new Centers, in Malaysia, Japan and Singapore. Finally, service platforms were built in South Africa.
