The General Assembly of Eumabois, the European federation of woodworking machinery manufacturers, has confirmed in its entirety the Board of Directors, which will then carry out a second mandate for the next three years.
The Board of Directors is composed as follows: Jürgen Köppelm, President (VDMA), Luigi De Vito, Vice-President (ACIMALL), Samuel Hänni - Director (Swiss Association, HBT), Wolfgang Rohner - Director (Austrian Association, FMMI), Mustafa Sabri Erol - Director (Turkish Association, AIMSAD) and Erich Zeller - Auditor (Swiss Association, HBT).
The President and CEO of Leitz GmbH & Co. KG, Jürgen Köppel, will continue to bring his long experience in the wood processing industry to help improve the business and growth of Eumabois. Luigi De Vito, Director Wood Division of SCM, will bring his extensive international experience to the board in the role of Vice President. President and Vice President will continue the development work of Eumabois with the aim of creating a positive environment for the European woodworking machinery industry.
The team will be completed by three re-elected board members, Mustafa Sabri Erol (Törk Makine A.S.), Samuel Hänni (Lamello AG) and Wolfgang Rohner (Ima-Schelling Anlagenbau GmbH), who will bring their experience in the sector and the strong support of their respective associations. Erich Zeller, confirmed as Auditor, has a long career at Lamello and Eumabois, and will also provide the board with his financial expertise.

Excellent results achieved in the last three years by the Board of Directors

The Council's proposal for confirmation was unanimously approved by the General Assembly, hosted by the Czech association SVDSZ last November in Brno, due to the excellent results achieved in the last three years, first of all the participation in projects that are very important for the future of the European woodworking industry. OPC UA (Open Platform Communication Unified Architecture), Marketing Intelligence Project and ETML (European Tool-Machine Language) are just a few examples of the initiatives that Eumabois will pursue in the coming years. An important topic that will be further developed by the re-elected Council is the increasing attention to machine safety regulations and the international trade fair context.
We would also like to point out another new appointment: Dr. Maddalena Goi will take charge of the numerous activities of the Eumabois Federation even though the secretariat will continue to be managed by Acimall, the Italian Association of woodworking machinery and accessories manufacturers.
Maddalena Goi, who boasts many experiences in foreign markets, in particular those of the Gulf countries, will be present at some of the exhibitions supported by Eumabois including Eurobois in Lyon (4-7 February), Holz-Handwerk in Nuremberg (18-21 March) and the Italian appointment of Xylexpo in Milan (26-29 May).
