MP, specialised in the production of coated fabrics for the furnishing sector, proposes GEO FR, the first eco-sustainable coated fabric that responds to the company's desire to pursue increasingly sustainable objectives through careful and environmentally friendly production. 

Aesthetically and qualitatively absolutely in line with MP's offer, the green difference is represented by the materials used and the eco-sustainable manufacturing processes. 

Eco-friendly materials and processing 

GEO FR is a versatile coated fabric with a dollar grain that gives it a classic yet contemporary appearance suitable for all types of use, both residential and contract. It has excellent fire resistance characteristics that allow it to obtain all the most important European certifications. 

It is made of PVC on jersey that guarantees a soft hand and at the same time excellent workability. Unlike other MP products, the backing at the base of the fabric is 100% recycled cotton, a totally natural fibre that reduces the use of virgin raw material.

Not only that, even the PVC used in the production of GEO FR is obtained through a biological/circular value chain: the ethylene is produced using 20% biomass and the chlorine, obtained through an electrolysis process, uses electricity from renewable sources. A totally transparent and ISCC-certified supply chain. 

The plasticiser, made using recycled raw materials from plastic processing waste, maintains the same specifications and technical properties as traditional plasticisers and is REDcert certified.
